Default Lost my free magmic games that are no longer free - 07-25-2007, 11:41 AM

I recently upgraded my Pearl to OS 4.2.101 and, for some reason, the upgrade failed, so I lost all of my apps -- including the free versions of Magmic Spider Solitaire and Klondike that are no longer available.

I'm pissed. But it feels good to get it off my chest.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Accoding to the website they rotate the games around. Hopefully they'll make the rotation include those games as I also really want spider solitaire.

But you had a fresh backup from before the upgrade, and you've restored them from the backup? Right?

I have a full backup of the device settings, messages, contacts, etc., but not of my third-party apps. How can you backup the third-party apps, other than using javaloader to save the .cod files to your pc?

Default Klondike Solitaire is available for free right now - 08-17-2007, 10:08 AM

I went to my browser's default home page then chose "Help". From here I chose "Super Games" under the Fun and Games header.
I then went to "Classic Games" and donwloaded Klondike.

In addition to Klondike there are 4 or 5 other games (including Spider Solitaire). I'm not sure if they are all free, but Klondike was. Its definitely not the best solitaire game (no discernible keyboard shortcuts) but its free.

Hope that helps.

Great find. Thanks! This time, I'm going to use javaloader to save the .cod files so I can reload them if need be.
