Question automatic backup that isn't - 06-10-2005, 09:50 AM

Does anyone know how to do an *automatic* backup of their blackberry?

After going through all the automatic backup settings that I could find, it seems that automatic backup isn't. Sure, you don't have to go in and manually tell the bb to backup, but you do have to save it when prompted. Excuse me? Isn't the keyword 'automatic'? If I want user intervention, then that is why the manual backup option exists, isn't it?

Liberal? is what our Constitution is...

Conservative? is reading it in the plain English is was written in...

The trouble with Republi-Crats is that they can't read plain english.

Hey....be happy...I can't turn OFF the automatic backup. Everytime I start the desktop manager it prompts me to do a backup. All of the settings are greyed out so I can not disable it.

Are you on a BES? Automatic Backup via Desktop Manager is probably being controlled by an IT Policy which forces you to do it.
If it is a result of an IT Policy, there's no way you'll be able to disable this feature.
