Default Blackberry Mail Synchronisation issues

Please Login to Remove!

Good Day,

I recently activated the account for a user on the BES running version 4.1.
Everything seems to be working fine in relation to the user's mailbox but one issue he experiences is that whenever he moves an item off his mailbox into a personal folder(pst file) in outlook, the email is still displayed on the blackberry messages folder. However, when he deletes an email, that change is almost immediately reflected on his device.
I have checked the device settings and all seem fine. I then recreated the scenario for myself with my own account and the same thing happens. I use a pearl with my account and use outlook 2007 to access the exchange server.
Has anyone got any suggestions with regards to resolving this?

Moving a message to a PST is considered a Hard Delete.

You must enable Hard Delete support on the BES for the BES to see these deletes.
To enable hard delete support do the following:
-Open BlackBerry Manager.
-In the Explorer view, click Server.
-On the Server Configuration tab, click Edit Properties, then click Messaging.
-For the Hard Deletes Reconciliation option, choose True from the drop-down menu.
-Restart the BlackBerry Enterprise Server services.

See RIM KB04853 for more details:

Hard Delete Reconciliation has a customizeable limitation. The default is the last 100 messages for each user.

Hard Delete Reconciliation will allow the BES to reconcile moves to PST and Hard Deletes (skipping Deleted Items, or emptying Delete Items)

...try setting the "hide filed messages" to YES under the options in the BB mailbox.
