Cool Desktop 4.2 SP2 Installation

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all, I have just migrated over from WinXP to Vista Ultimate 32bit and just cannot get the Desktop Manager installed. I have tried with/without Media Manager, as Administrator, WinXP SP2 emulation and custom and standard installation. Every time I try to install it, everything seems fine except that it VERY slow, until after it checks for previous versions and then there is a pause and I get the same message on every try:- Error 2738 Could not access VBScript runtime for custom action. I have looked in the forum and I didn't see that error anywhere.....have I missed or not installed anything prior to installing the app

Default Desktop 4.2 SP2 Installation

I have just resolved my own problem by doing what I should have done at 2am this morning...googled it...and I found the solution under ITunes installations who were getting the same error

Go to Start\Programs\Accessories
Right Click Command Prompt and Run as Administrator
Type C:\Windows\System32 if not already there
Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll
Close the Command Prompt

Didn't speed anything up but it resolved the problem...strange thing is I installed ITunes before Desktop Manager and didn't get the error
