Its up to 103 now. I started it earlier but I must have accidentally closed it and I had to start over. *shrugs*

I think I already have this version but downloading just to be sure.

So did you install it and does it work with current 4.2.1/4.2.2 OS?

Yes. It works fine. The only negative is that it won't back up my 3rd party apps as per my sticky thread. It backs up Live Search but finds nothing else for 3rd party apps in the switch device wizard. The 4.2.2 version finds all my 3rd party apps.

Yep. This is the one. It's version 4.3.0.15 dated Aug 15, 2007

Edit: I installed this on top of the version I had and turned out it's the same version. However, the reinstallation did fix my problem with the switch device wizard.

Did they add the "constant sync" capability? Still waiting for that so I don't have to run a manual sync before I unplug my Curve.

Since downloading it from the Blackberry website requires entering your personal information they prefer to know who's downloading. I would agree it's not on the BB website at this time, however, so same agreement may not apply. It depends on 02's agreement.

Not in all cases. You start dealing with international import/export laws, etc. It could become quite the slippery slope for someone.

Installer won't even let me install, won't register one of the .dll files, and Roxio won't go through. Going to redownload.

Okay, when I try to install, I get the following errors:

Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\IS71 Connectors\ISGroupWise6.5.X\GW.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel.

Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\IS71 Action Engine\SyncAE_pb.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel.

After that, it won't even install the Roxio Media Manager. Bleh.

This is not good.

I got these errors as well. I noticed that I'm not able to sync with Outlook either. I get options for Outlook Express, Yahoo, and one other...can't remember now. I just noticed this this afternoon.

I installed 4.3 on laptop with withOUT prior Desktop Manager installed at all. Did a clean install, synced perfectly with Outlook, as well as a backup to the laptop.

So did you install the 4.3 on top the older version just like John?

Quote:

I installed over the old version.
John, the 4.3 desktop manager definitely have an error, it won't install media manager with a clean install, I have to install 4.2.2 SP2 first, and than install 4.3 and is working fine now.

Downloaded 4.3 and installed over 4.2.2 on XP SP2 with no problems once the BB was re-found.
