Default Redirector - what happens when your PC is off the network?

Please Login to Remove!

My company doesn't support the Blackberry.

The Redirector should allow me to keep email, contacts, calendar sync'd, but as I understand it, I'd have to leave my work laptop on and connected to the network.

Unfortunately, I can't have my laptop connected to my work network 24/7, so I'm wondering if the Redirector can hold transactions on either end and "catch up" when my laptop is reconnected.

I've done a bunch of reading here but haven't seen any info on what happens when the work PC is disconnected from the network and you're using the Redirector.

Redirector only forwards your e-mail. It does not sync anything. You must sync your contacts, notes, tasks and calendar via Desktop Manager and Intellisync.

If your PC/laptop is disconnected, no e-mail is forwarded. It's been a while, but I don't remember it catching it up.

Thanks...when I read the Help on Verizon's web site it sounded like it did sync calendar/contacts/tasks, but I guess they are referring to the redirector doing email, and then manual sync of the rest via USB cable?
