Default 7730 driver error when installing on W2K SP3

Please Login to Remove!

New here! Hello!

I'm really hoping someone can help with this, I'll be eternally grateful if they can!

Am trying to install a new 7730 for one of our managers at work.

Installs Desktop Manager fine but when connecting 7730 (with appropriate admin rights) it doesn't install correct driver, just detects it as a USB device.

Have tried resetting device and removing/reinstalling Desktop Manager, no luck.

Tried directing Device Manager to driver in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\USB drivers, it picks it up, and then Device Manager says it's a RIM Handheld, but it still has an exclamation mark and an error in the driver.

Has anyone come across this problem before and managed to resolve?

Thanks in advance for your help. I appreciate it takes time to reply.

Try getting Desktop Manager 3.6 SP3 from RIM:
