Hello:
First post, new user, so bear with me.

I have a user that is using a Macintosh 12" PowerBook running OSX 10.3.x and Entourage v.x, running and exchange connection.
We are running the BES services on a win 2K server, currently patched
We are running Exchange 2003 on Windows Server 2003

He is experiencing rather odd behavior on his Entourage client. Email shows up, then a minute or so later it disappears, only to reappear almost instantly. Also when he deletes a message, it will be sent to his deleted items folder, only to reappear a moment later and then disappear. This is a consistant behavior and rather frustrating to the user.

This does not occur with other users, however other users of Entourage are using POP/SMTP, rather than the Exchange connection.

Also this behavior occurs whether the Blackberry is on or off.

Any suggestions or ideas here? I've verified the settings and the user is able to send and recieve mail other than this issue.

i work back and forth on osx 10.3.9 and xp in conjuction with our exchange server and my blackberry. i tried many workarounds with office v.x and exchange and had some success, but experienced alot of the same problems as your user is seeing. it seemed to have something to do with the way entourage synchs with exchange. once we went to exchange 2003 i upgraded to office 2003 on the mac. i have had no serious problems since with the multiple access points to my exchange account. other than entourage corrupting its database and having to rebuild whenever i access the exchange account simultaneously with outlook and entourage, i have had little difficulty, none related to blackberry/bes activity.

i would recommend the upgrade. its only shortcomings are the ongoing lack of support for synching outlook/exchange notes with entourage and the lack of cross compatability of the pst files. (i just maintain 2 sets of offline folders...one on xp and one on the mac)
