i have a problem with my old bb
last time i allready unlock ( disabled lock ) for my bb and working find until yesterday.
yesterday i try to re install all of the software cause i get error "java.can't.caugth.... ".
after i reinstall my bb cannot searching my celular network ( SOS on the network bar), i find the error report " MEP data Invalid".
pls somebody who has same experience or know something about this, pls help me..
i use 7290 bb.

Most likely you have to do the following step.

Wipe you blackberry handheld 7290

Install desktop manager and handheld operating system to you desktop computer.

Connect you 7290 to the desktop and you should be able to get a clean install OS to the BB.

i think the problem is at the vendor.xml . i forgot to delete that.

how did u delete vendo.xml ? i have the same issue with a unlocked 7100R

you don't have to check anything else again. because i'm sure that your mobile got hard error. the flash and CPU chip have not been fixed with the mainboard of your mobile. you should go to get it repaired. don't try to do with the OS software, it's not useful.

Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file called vendor.xml
