1. Install the BlackBerryOS executable through your desktop computer.

2. Connect BlackBerry to PC

3. Launch BlackBerry Desktop (Which you should already have installed)

4. It will now step by step you through the procedure.

Thanks,

Did all that and it never installs. Just finishes and then askes me if I want to start the desktop. When I do it just goes through the normal sync and nothing happens. Any cluses what I can do to force it to go through the os install?

Delete the file vendor.xml from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader. Desktop Manager has to be closed. After deleting the file restart Desktop Manager and start Application Loader. You should then be able to update your device.

Just thought I update you and any body who has same problem...

I manged to get my 3.7.1 OS from provider, tried downgrading it via "Apps loader", HandHeld crash halfway! Then HandHeld wouldnt start up anymore, Error 507!

hat I did was, completely remove Desktop software, including wiping your registry clean. Reinstall Dekstop software and OS software.

Then reinstall the OS while the Handheld show error 507.

Now its working! Oh boy....painful!
