Default BB7250-Verizon-Mail Redirector Issue? - 06-24-2005, 03:44 PM

Hello! Glad to find such a great forum! Thanks! I have one issue. I just received a BB7250 and love it but we don't use BES so I'm forced to use the desktop redirector. I've read a few posts about repairing your outlook 2003 .pst before installing the desktop software and redirector but can't seem to get it working. When I run outlook and then run desktop manager and subsequently desktop redirector, the redirector shows up as 'disabled' and 'verifying forwarding address' never changes. Anyone have any idea on how to solve this issue? My PIN is correct and I can receive e-mails via the web interface but just not through the redirector application. Anyone have the setting for the redirector? (i.e. what e-mail address should I have in under 'advanced'?
Thanks!

One or more of the following causes may have caused this error:

The desktop redirector is configured to use your internal email address
The Microsoft Outlook mailbox is configured for POP3
Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable
The personal folder (.pst) or offline folder (.ost) is corrupt
The user account has not been added to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server
Email messages are being flagged as potential viruses
Prefix [Scanned] is being added to the subject line of email messages
A rule is moving messages from [email address]
A MAPI profile is missing or corrupt
New mail is forwarded to a .pst file
The firewall does not allow Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) connections
The user account is on a “front-end” Exchange server
