This issue has been around since Today was first released. Currently there is no fix.
The best way to get rid of stuck messages is to pull the battery.

i have found a way to get rid of these "stuck" messages without doing a battery pull....
if you get a stuck messagae
go into the message and mark it "unread"
go back to the today screen and it will have dissapeared and all it will say is you have 1 unread message then you can go in and delete it
then presto your back to normal and you dont have to waste all that time doing a battery pull......
but what i wanted to know is if this will ever be fixed thru some kind of a update or something? if it has already been fixed will someone let me know please?
