Synchronizing handheld e-mail to Outlook on laptop -

I have a 7290 through Cingular. For now, I'm just using it to receive email sent to my @mycingular.blackberry.net account, which of course comes directly to the handheld. I want to be able to synchronize my handheld email with Outlook 2003 on my laptop, which is not connected to the Internet, i.e., I want Intellisync to (1) download emails on my handheld to the Outlook inbox and (2) upload and send emails composed on Outlook and stored in the outbox. The purpose of this is to be able to use my handheld to effectively give my laptop nondialup wireless email access so i can send and receive emails wirelessly from my laptop whenever I have BB service.
I first tried installing the BIS software option, but that provided no option for email reconciliation. Then, I installed the BES/Redirector software, even though I don't have BES, and that created the email reconciliation option. Because I don't have the laptop connected to the Internet, I have no Internet Accounts set in Outlook. Also, under Desktop Manager | Intellisync, Configure email | Personal folder, the only option is "None," even though an Inbox appears in Outlook. When I run "Reconcile email" under Intellisync in the Desktop Manager, it appears (from the progress bar) as though all the handheld emails are being synchronized, but none appears in my inbox.
I just called BB support, and i was told that I can't do what I'm trying to do. I've seen mixed messages on these forums, so I'm checking to see if I got the straight scoop from BB. Thanks.

Intellisync does not download mail, or upload it, for that matter. Mail does not "sync" on a BlackBerry. Mail is forwarded (via BIS, BES or a push to the @mycingular e-mail address), but there is no way to sync your e-mail via Intellisync.
Not sure you are going to be able to do what you want to do.
