Default Email Messages Kept Forever on BB Chew up Memory?

Please Login to Remove!

If you have email set to "keep forever" under General Options, does that slowly chew up more memory? I am on BES and could live with only the last 3 months or so kept on my BB, if I change the setting on the BB, it won't delete them from the server will it? If I later set it back to keep forever, will all the old ones come back to the BB?

Thanks!

Yes, messages can chew up memory. To see how much, do the following: Go to >Options >Status. Then hit Menu and select "Database Sizes." Scroll down to Messages and look at the size. The first number is the number of messages and the second is the database size.

If you change the setting on the BB to keep for 90 days then they will drop off and not delete from your server. If you change back to forever, thy won't come back on the device.
