OK. Specifics:
Blackberry 7520 (Nextel) non-bes. using desktop manager to synch up with outlook. Outlook connects to company exchange server.
I have a bunch of tasks set up. when I connect my 7520, the Desktop Manager will come up, and the intellisync will start. It will go through all the syncing, but when it gets to the tasks, it will say "reading from desktop; syncing 3 of 3 tasks)
Then it will crap out with an error:
Appname:desktopmgr.exe

offset: 00013ec3

Version is 4.0.0.30 I

During all this, the display on the BlackBerry will show the data transfer annimated icons. When the desktop manager crashes, it will fail completly leaving the blackberry with the animated transfer icons...I have to unplug the blackberry to get the icons to stop.

This all started all of a sudden with nothing being done before it failed. I had almost a week of successful syncing before this happened. I tried deleting my tasks, on the desktop, but it still crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop manager, but it still crashes.

So, now I am wondering who I go to for help? You guys? Nextel? RIM? Intellisync?
I'm at a loss here...

Try deleting your Outlook profile and creating a new one. Of course make sure you have all of the information you'll need to create the new one before deleting the old one.

OK, here is what I did to get my BlackBerry to sync again,
I deleted the Research In Motion directory under my login in docs and settings. Performed a new initial sync and now it's working again...but for how long?

Thanks for the tip on removing the Reasearch in Motion Directory. I zipped mine up (for save keeping) and then re-sync-ed. Everything worked.

Then I tried starting re-director on my laptop --> and it hung. When I tried to re-sync after this using Desktop Manager, it gave me the same error; even after re-start.

The only other option is to completly remove Desktop Manager from your PC, you can do a search on this forum for the steps its posted a million times.. It basically just consists of removed Registry Keys and all Program Folders associated w/ RIM;
