Lightbulb Password - elimination

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Blackberry 8300 that has V4.2.2.166(Platform 2.4.0.73). It was previously connected to IBM's BES and has a password protection they I want to remove. It requires that I re-enter the password about every 5 minutes.

I do not use BES. I connect directly to my POP3 internet accounts.

I reloaded the software and the password doesn't go away. I don't need this function. My data is not propriatary.

How can I remove this from the system?

You need to remove the IT Policy from your device.
Search the forum and/or Main Page - BlackBerryFAQ.com for instructions on how to do it.
