Default double spaced messages

Sorry if this has already been covered. I've been trying to search for notes on this.

I have a customer using a BES with a variety of Blackberrys - Verizon, Cingular, etc. Recently, I upgraded the three of the Blackberrys handheld and desktop software to version 4.0. Since then, there are two issues that are bothering the users:

First, all messages on the handhelds seem to be double spaced, but they look fine in Outlook. If I forward the message from the Blackberry back to the sender, the original message comes back double spaced, but anything added on the handheld (such as the signature) does not.

The second issue is that all email being sent from outlook ends up getting pushed out to the Blackberry. Is there a way to turn that off? They want to have any email sent FROM the Blackberry to show up in Outlook, but not the other way around.

I don't have a Blackberry for myself, so my expertise in this area is weak at best.

Thanks, Dave

Ok, I think I know why messages are getting double spaced. If the message is created in Outlook using HTML or Rich Text, the message shows up on the BB as double-spaced. If the message is created using Plain Text, it shows up normally.

Is there a fix for this, or is the Blackberry a "plain text" only messaging device?
