Angry Going in Circles looking for Upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

I am looking for an upgrade of 4.0.2 or higher. However I am in Ireland and the updates are not available yet. Can I use an update from another provider? Is the update related to the bb device and the network/carrier? Would I cause more problems for myself if I used Vodafone for example?

I'm pretty sure you need to use the update provided for your carrier/device. What device/carrier do you have? You should be able to go to their website for the update. For example, if you have a nextel, go to nextel.com and get the update for your phone.

you can use an upgrade from any provider that is for the same type of device eg 7290. All you have to do is download it - install it- and delete the vendor.xml file. Then install to the device with the Desktop Manager. I am using Sprint software on Bell Hardware.
