Default Unable to open default folder in group - 07-14-2005, 01:48 PM

Hello,

I'm fairly new to blackberry, and some of my users have been getting this error since a server crash last week. Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this problem?

Thanks,
John

Here's your answer:

Problem
You received the following error when synchronizing applications between your desktop computer and BlackBerry Wireless Handheld:

Unable to open default folder in group

Cause
Intellisync® is unable to communicate with the selected Microsoft Exchange folder.

Resolution
Clear and reselect the Exchange folder you are synchronizing.

In the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, double-click Intellisync.
Click Configure PIM.
Select the application causing the error and click Choose.
In the Choose Translator selection window, under Folder Name, click Browse.
In the Selected Folders section, highlight the entries and click Remove.
In the Selected Folders section, browse to your mailbox and re-add the folder.
Click OK to return to the main Intellisync window.
Connect the handheld to your desktop computer and click Synchronize now.

Let me know if that works..

Doh! I could've sworn I checked BB support. Worked great, thanks a ton.

On your pc you need to delete the files in the Intellisync folder they will show your pin number and also ones wiht .cfg delete all these files route is usually FOLDER: C://APPLICATION DATA/RESEARCH IN MOTION/BLACKBERRY/INTELLISYNC you will find files like 2023fc.cfg and other 2023c3fc also b401c8d1 these will differ depending on your hheld pin - but delete all. Goto DTM and CONFIGURE PIM - select each folder eg address - choose the correct translater eg Outlook and then synch follow the same process for the other PIM folder eg taks / memopad etc i did this and working ok now
