Post Transfer of Data - 07-14-2005, 10:37 PM

Just up-graded from the 7210 to the 7290 - after finished paying at the store, the salesman tells me the old sim cards don't transfer contacts, phone numbers etc to the new blackberry devices - goes on to tell me I can get software on line - well, I am unsuccessful in finding anything - if it's out there - any advise?

Have you installed the "Desktop Manager" software? If so, there is a backup/restore function which can help you transfer customer data from the 7210 to the 7290. If you don't have Desktop Manager, you can download it from the RIM SUpport web site.

It doesn't really matter. Download and use the newest one you can find. For Backup/Restore I don't think it matters.
