Default 3rd Party Applications with Desktop Manager - 03-27-2008, 09:34 PM

I had an 8700 and have just upgraded to an 8320.

I am able to sync both devices with Outlook fine through Desktop Manager to get address on my devices. The only 3rd party application I have is Splash ID. I deleted this from my 8700 and tried to load the .aix file to my 8320 and I get an error. It wont add.

I am using 4.2.1.8 Desktop Manager, I have not upgraded to 4.3, could that be the issue? If it is, when you ugrade desktop manager should you delete the current version first and then to a fresh install or can you load it right over the top?

Thanks

Rick

The Desktop Manager version really doesn't matter that much, but you could upgrade to DM 4.2, Service pack 2 or DM 4.3.

You need also to load the OS that is on your 8320 to your PC, and install it there. That is likely the error you are getting (you didn't say what the error is that you are seeing?).
