Question Need Help with Wireless Email Reconciliation - 07-20-2005, 01:27 PM

I load Desktop Manager and it tells me to generate an encryption key. I move my mouse around and the window disappears and in the task bar Desktop Manager says its "working"

The Desktop Manager continues to "work" and all of the icons are greyed out.

When I load Desktop Manager, if I click "Cancel" instead of "Ok" to generate the key, I can get into the desktop manager.

Then when I go to Intellisync, and click "Configure Email" it says "Wireless email reconciliation is not currently enabled. Please see Message List Options on the Blackberry handheld for these settings"

On my Blackberry>Message menu it says Wireless Reconciliation "On"

Please help

Goto Messages -> Options -> Email Reconciliation and make sure the Message Services is set to WebClient, Redirector or BES what ever your are using to receive your emails and then save the changes; If you don't use redirector sometime redirector takes control when you plug the device in to PC and run Desktop Manager;

Couple things to check...

Make sure that the BES administrator has the blackberry installed on the BES and that it is indeed activated on the BES.

Contact the service provider and ensure that thier data service has been started and that they are able to recieve data.

Is the wireless antenna turned on.

Uninstall the software and reinstall the software and make sure that during the setup process that you select BES server as the option.

Make sure that if you are connected to the USB at the current time that you check to see if "disable wireless reconcilliation while connected to the desktop" is checked.

Just a couple ideas for you.
