Default Upgrade 7100v device software version

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone, I have 7100v with version 4.1.292 and am facing some difficulties of upgrading my BB as I am using 4.2 sp2 desktop software when I connect the device to the computer and trying to upgrade the software through the application loader; the wizard leads me to a new windows that says:

"THE BLACKBERRY DESKTOP SOFTWARE DOES NOT HAVE BLACKBERRY DEVICE SOFTWARE FOR THAT DEVICE THAT YOU HAVE CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER.

Can I have a proper way to upgrade my BB, need some assistance.

Thank you for your attention and help

Anita

Default Upgrade 7100v device software version

Thank you very much for your kind reply...

You mentioned first:-

(What is currently loaded (Optoins > About, look at the third line down starting with a "v. 4.xxx"?)

But sorry I did not get it wheather you meant to chose the third from the drop menu for the Desktop software downlaoding, or you mean something else??

As I can see you advise me to download the BB Desktop software v 4.2 SP1!! Am I right?

If so I will uninstall the latest and reinstall the last mentioned and follow the instruction in the second address...

Thanks one more time...

Anita

No, you cannot sync the 7100 with your PC for media.

The link I gave you above works, and the instructions work, as long as you follow them EXACTLY as posted, and in the order given.

Good luck.

Yes, I am sure God might know, and you should also. Scroll up to the THIRD post in this thread and you will see where to download the OS from.

There must be a language barrier here, I am guessing.

You are welcome!

I followed the full instruction and still have the same messege appear with:-

"THE BLACKBERRY DESKTOP SOFTWARE DOES NOT HAVE BLACKBERRY DEVICE SOFTWARE FOR THAT DEVICE THAT YOU HAVE CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER.

How do I upgrade the OS on my device? Follow these instructions:

1. Download and install to PC the latest version of Desktop Manager from here: ( BlackBerry Operating System Downloads )

2. Download the new OS you want and install it to the PC

But I couldn't see any OS application or the desktop manager didn't find any new application in the application loader

It didn't show any other application in the wizard empty with the A/M messege!!!

one more clue???

Thank you

What file exactly have you downloaded for the OS? I posted the correct file in the link above in my Post #3.

I downloaded the software from:

https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4
for the following details:-

Software For BlackBerry Desktop Software v4.3
Desktop Software v4.3 b25 without Media Manager (Multilang)
File name: Desktop Software v4.3 b25 without Media Manager (Multilang).exe
File size: 92 MB
Date posted: 6-Dec-07

whenever I start the application loader the wizard leads me to the device application selection with no application names only the following:

THE BLACKBERRY DESKTOP SOFTWARE DOES NOT HAVE BLACKBERRY DEVICE SOFTWARE FOR THAT DEVICE THAT YOU HAVE CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER.

the only function I can get is Add in the application selection, when I press on it it asks for alx, ali application files that I could not find in any of them in the desktop software

hope I could explain you what is happening clearly that can sort out this problem

Well that ^^ file is the desktop manager, NOT the Operating System for the BlackBerry.

Download the file from here instead

Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut)

First, pull the battery and reboot the device.
Is it the Media Player you are trying to use? What type file are you trying to play?
