Default Sync no longer connects when I went to Vista - 04-11-2008, 12:16 PM

Hello Everyone. New to this site and looking for somehelp. I have a BB7105T and have reciently upgraded my OS on my computer from WIN XP SP2 to the new VIsta Ultimate. My problem is my blackberry desktop sync software no longer works. My BB screen just goes blank and the service light flashes. Worked fine with XP but not with Vista. I can connect my BB to the computer with no problem however as soon as I click the BB sync manager, that is when I start having problems. Is there a BB desktop manager that I can use to work with Vista? Not sure where to start looking to fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you reinstall the DM? When you plug in the BB, does it show the charging icon on the battery? The DM installs the proper USB drivers for the phone.

I have the visat upgrade. Worked fine on XP until I installed the Vista upgrade. At that point once I click to sync the BB it looks like it just tries to connect. I get the red service light and the phone just goes dead and is un-usable. I unplug the phone and the BB resets it sell. I tried un installing the DM and re-intalling in the Vista OS however it will not take. I looked for an updated version of the DM on the blackberry web site however get ask a million question and did not want to be charger for the software

There is no charge for the software. There have been lots of problems with 4.3 and Vista. Try installing 4.2 SP2 and see if it helps your problems.
