Default Application Loader Wizard error. - 07-25-2005, 04:33 PM

Hello,

Im having a problem with my 7290,..well..more like..the desktop manager. Whenever it starts up it gives me "The application Loader Wizard requieres the BlackBerry Handheld Manager to be installed. Please contact your system administrator" Does anyone know what this is? and how it can be corrected?...The blackberry synchs w/o a problem. When i double click on the Application loader icon it gives me the same error.

Basically the BB Handheld Manager is what communicates with your device while cradled, to resolve this issue you will have to perform a complete un-installation of the Desktop Manager.

Utilize the "Add/Remove Programs" control panel in Windows to remove the Blackberry Desktop Manager software.

Once complete:

Windows 2000 or newer:

From Start, select Search and for files or folders.
Type in C:\Program Files\Research In Motion.
Once located, delete the folder.
From Start, select Search and for files or folders.
Type in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Pumatech Shared.
Once located, delete the folder.
From Start, select Search and for files or folders.
Type in C:\Documents and Settings\NTUSER\Application Data\Research In Motion.
Once located, delete the folder.

Windows 98SE and Windows ME:
From Start, select Search and for files or folders.
Type in C:\Program Files\Research In Motion.
Once located, delete the folder.
From Start, select Search and for files or folders.
Type in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Pumatech Shared.
Once located, delete the folder.
