Default Password Keeper database restore

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, we upgraded a user's Blackberry, he had a 7290 and now he has a Curve 8310. Password Keeper is set to synchronize wireless.

After I resynchronized the new Blackberry, when he tried to access Password Keeper, it said that he needed to enter a password for a database entry to be converted. The password he previously used didn't work. I tried recreating the activation password and I wiped the Blackberry also... Didn't change anything.

He kept his old Blackberry so I tried to restore with BB Desktop his Password Keeper database (by setting the wireless sync off). When I uploaded it to the new device, I get the same thing, even locally.

Any idea on how to fix this problem?

Welcome to the forums.

The only way to get in is with the correct password. I had this happen to a user and he had to go back to previously used PK password and it let him in.

What you can do is a backup of the device and then keep trying passwords. After 10 wrong tries, it will wipe the PK, but you can disable wireless reconciliation for the user on the BES and then do an advanced restore of the PK database back to the device...and try again (and don't forget to re-enable reconcilation for the user on the BES).

Unfortuantely, unless he knows the password, there is no way to get into the app.
