Question Intellisync deleting contacts when folder is not available - 07-28-2005, 06:41 PM

Hi,
We user Outlook 2003 and Desktop Manager, BB OS 4. We have the following setup for the Desktop Manager Intellisync:
Sync contacts in user's personal contact folder and in company-wide phone book, which is a Public Folder on Exchange -
User Name\Contacts
Public Folders\All Public Folders\Company-wide Phone Book

This setup works fine while the user is online and connected to the Exchange server.
However, if the user attempts to sync his BB while offline, the Company-wide Phone Book (CwPB) is not accessible (together with other Public Folders) and Intellisync suggests to delete all the contacts that originated from the CwPB. The user can either accept and delete or cancel and not sync contacts at all, including his own Contacts folder, which is not desirable either.
There's no problem with user own Contacts folder because it's cached and available even when the computer is offline. I'm not sure if it's possible to make the Public Folder cached as well - didn't find this option so far.

Please let me know, if you encountered similar situation and found a solution.

Thank you!
