Default Single Desktop Manager updating multiple different devices - 05-06-2008, 11:20 AM

Hoping that this is okay as I've just installed firmware updates for staff 8703e's on my workstation which was originally installed for my Curve...

I do this all the time. Just make sure that if you asked to switch to the 'new' PIN, you click No.

Thanks for the prompt replies. I did see that warning and clicked 'No'. So when I plug MY Curve back in, it will ignore the stuff for the 8703e's?

Updated and rebooted but my BES isn't showing that it's been updated; strange.

It may take some time to reflect the new OS on the BES. You could also try resending the service books to the device.

Thanks. I did try resending the service books, rebooted the BB, and restarted BES services and even reactivated the enterprise account but no love yet. I'll let it run for the week and see what happens.

Forgot to mention you have to redo he enterprise activation after upgrading the OS...I think you just posted you did that, but I'm not quite sure.....

Yup, noticed that the IT policy wasn't being pushed to the phone so I redid Enterprise Activation after the user's data was restored. It shows up in the BES as having accepted policy and applied successfully. The phone also does show that it is running on the firmware version I installed (.385) but the BES still shows .352.

Guess it's not a dealbreaker at this point.

Remove user from BES. Wait until is purged.
Wipe device and activate it again by either way.
