Hi,

I have Blackberry Manager 4.1.4.15 installed and have deleted a user account because there was a problem with their account. When I went to re-add the same user, the following message is displayed:

"The number of users selected exceeds the number of available licenses. Please select a fewer number of users to add."

I know that we have the required license because we have had this number of users in the past.

I have restarted Blackberry Services, restarted the BES and have left the server for 24 hours before trying to re-add the user again. It seems as though the user is stuck in a pending delete queue or similar.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, guys!

Is it BPS or full version BES? To check how many licences you have:

Open the BlackBerry Manager.

Click on BlackBerry Domain.

In the Tasks area, click License Management under the Account heading.

Have you tried purging deleted user before re-adding it?

We have BPS.
I have checked on the licences. We have 4 licenses, all of which are shown to be in use, however, I have deleted one of these users so there should be one license free. There are only 3 users shown in the users section.

I was trying to remove the user from the users pending delete section but I cannot find the tab in this version of the software. In other versions of the software that I have configured at other sites, there is a users pending delete tab, but not in this one.

I have read before about database maintenance jobs that can be run, any advice?

For anyone else having this problem, this is how I managed to get rid of the user. It looked like the user was still in the userconfig table.

* Export of the userconfig table:
c:\> bcp besmgmt..userconfig out c:\userconfig.txt -c -T

* Then see if the user exists in the table and look for the ID at the start of the line. Then type:

osql -E
use besmgmt
go
delete from userconfig where id=id
