Default New to BB - looking for better e-mail program - 05-28-2008, 12:29 PM

Sorry if this is a redundant post.

I am a new BB user (from Windows Mobile) and can't stand the BB e-mail program.

Is there an e-mail program out there that will let me have two screen lines per e-mail (like Windows Mobile) where the sender, date, time is on one line and the subject line of the e-mail is on the second line? I can't easily browse through my mailbox because it say "RE: email subj. . . . ." as an example. There isn't enough column width to read anything. I don't see a setting for this.

Also, an e-mail program that handles not only BB e-mail but Yahoo POP accounts could be even better.

Our corporate guys kicked out Windows Mobile. It sure was a lot easier to use and setup up than my Curve.

Everything you want can be done on your BlackBerry. Millions of people find this interface fine, I'm surprised you don't seem to agree.

Go into email->options->general options->display message header on; (auto, 1, or 2 lines)

You can setup up to 11 personal email accounts on your BB by following the personal email wizard from the icon on your home screen.

Remove the time from the message listing and you get more room for the subject.

Messages > Options > General Options > Display Time.

When you get it set up and running you will find you dont miss the constant hangs and resets of the windows mobile. As was stated you can do everything you want on a BB. The interface is cumbersome just because you are not used to it. Most grow to love it and there are the slim few that just cant get the hang of it.

Start with BB faq on the main title bar of this forum there is a vast amount of information there.
