Angry Calendar Syncing Problem - 06-03-2008, 09:08 AM

Ok, let me try to explain this and hopefully someone can help me so I don't pull my hair out. I am using a Sprint 8330 Curve running the 4.3 software on both my blackberry and the 4.3 Desktop Manager and use the BIS Connection. Now, here is the fun stuff.

I know that you have a calendar for each one of your e-mail accounts. I have one e-mail account synced to my Blackberry, an AOL account. Now, when I go to Settings --> Advanced --> Default Programs I have my AOL account set as the default for both e-mail and calendar and it is the only one on the list. Now, when I go to my calendar and choose calendar on the menu, I see TWO AOL MAIL calendars. Now, if I create an appointment with one of them, it won't sync with outlook, but it will send a meeting request to users that I invite, but the other one will sync with outlook, but won't send the meeting request. I have determined by changing their colors that the one that is specified in my defaults is the one that sends the requests, but doesn't sync. Finally, if I go to the Desktop Manager and go to Back-Up/Restore, it shows two different entries for the calendar. These are Calendar and Calendar - All. This is driving me insane. How do I merge all of this to one calendar and only use the true AOL Mail calendar?? I hope I haven't confused everyone too much.

Thanks.

It’s a pain with O.S. 4.3 but this is what you need to do. Delete your email on the BIS site. Hook up your BB to the DM open the “Back up and Restore” then go to advanced, then go to the box on the right hand side “device database” Clear the calendar entries. Disconnect the BB from the DM remove the battery with the BB powered on; leave it off for a minute or two. Put the battery back in, re-enter the email account(s) into the above BIS website, if your have more then one email account go into options and choose which one you want to be your default. Re-sync your BB.

You are only able to sync the default calendar at this time...

Well, I tried everything you posted and it still didn't work. I ended up having to do a complete wipe and everything works great now. It is a shame though.
