Default By far the most confusing situation... - 06-03-2008, 11:02 PM

Hey guys, i'm finally turning to you to help me out with my BIS problem. I've been having trouble setting this up. Here's the situation.

- I'm with Bell Mobility for starters.
- I have two @mydomain.ca emails to configure on 2 BB's (fathers and brothers)
- The @mydomain.ca is registered with another host other than Bell (going with Bell would of made things easier from what i hear)

The situation?
- I configured (along with some pro help) my brothers email to his BB BUT he ends up getting my father's emails instead. I checked the configuration, the password and all that and nothing was wrong on that end. Although he still gets my fathers emails on his BB.

I really don't know where to look. It could be the whole email setup from top to bottom or it could be something else that im totally unaware of. I've called Bell a numerous amount of times and they can't help shed some light (God forbid) and i called my host to shed some light and go no help either. I'm still trying to get to RIM but Bells giving me some trouble to get a ticket or whatever, in order for me to get help.

So that's my story, short, confusing and unexplainable. I'm hoping somebody could walk in this and say "hey! i was in the same situation, just do this this that the other..." Haha, that'd be nice But seriously though, your help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Would you be guessing?

The email setup via a personal BIS account is pretty simple and straightforward, and just as simple with ANY domain host as to use Bell... no difference at all

Ya i'd be guessing, in anycase i followed the steps and whatnot (i've done this for my own BB) but it's confusing of the fact the my brother is getting my fathers emails...i'm not sure if that has to do with mail servers or just, i dont know, bad luck...

It sounds like you might entered the PIN for each other or swapped them on the accounts so that the email would cross the devices. You may need to correct that.

Alright! So i figured out the whole situation. I started from the beginning, which is, check your email account settings and password. I noted all my emails with the usernames and password and then checked the server settings.

Once that was done, i setup the BBs and so far, BIS has been successfully placed in both BBs...NOW i'm waiting for my test emails that i sent out. Unfortunately im faced with the waiting game because these emails are setup on POP, so i should be getting my test emails in about 10-15 minutes :S

I guess that took care of it! Thanks for the help guys. Now i gotta find some good filters. I keep getting emails of what i send out to others (new composed emails). So annoying...

Found my small annoying issue here...
