Default Outlook without Exchange - 06-11-2008, 02:06 PM

I have a friend who wants to get a Blackberry to sync his Outlook calender. He uses Outlook stand-alone, without Exchange. Is this possible?

I manage a small BES server on my network where we run Exchange 2003, but don't have any experience with the desktop redirector or with Outlook w/o Exchange. But from what I've read, you need Exchange to use the desktop redirector.

If it won't with the desktop redirector, is there any solution at all for an individual to sync his desktop calendar with the Blackberry?

Thanks,

--Doug

You can sync Outlook PIM to BlackBerry via Desktop Manager and a USB cable.
It can't be done wirelessly unless you're on a BES.

THanks for the quick reply!

This can be done even though the user does not have an Exchange mailbox?
