Default Help with downgrading to DM 4.2 error message - 06-29-2008, 11:29 PM

I want to downgrade from DM 4.5 which sucks back to 4.2 but after I uninstalled 4.5 and tried to reinstall 4.2 I got this message:

"newer version of the desktop software is currently installed" and it asks me to uninstall newer version even though I already did! Then it won't install any further. Does anyone know how to find where in the registry etc. this is picking up? I am running XP. Thanks!

Yes I used Add/Remove. I am going to try reinstalling 4.5 then uninstalling it again.

It involves cleaning out the registry etc:

Perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
