Exclamation Uncaught exception: object already exists - 07-05-2008, 03:32 PM

Hi,

I'm trying to download several applications through the BlackBerry Browser. Like, Opera Mini, JiveTalk etc. But everytime I do this, I get this error: Uncaught exception: object already exists

Is the only way to fix this a complete wipe? How do I do a complete wipe? The Settings -> Wipe thingy doesn't wipe everything such as Addressbook etc. Also how do I do a OS Reinstall?

I need some help please.

Best regards

Rasmus

My BB is a: 8820

I think I would try to upgrade to the OS in this thread and then try it again:

Yes. There is nothing you can do to relock your device. Once unlocked, always unlocked.

Great go hear. Thanks!

Do you know of any e-mail client with IMAP support and doesn't require a BES or BIS dataplan but can can use EDGE/GPRS and/or Wifi?

All push email on a Blackberry requires a BIS or BES plan. No other way.

You can use the Gmail application with Gmail over edge/gprs but not sure about wifi.

Ok. I've been told over at crackberry's that the Gmail app requires BIS or BES dataplan. I'm just confused. My Gmail app just stops loading at "0KB" :(

Crackberry folks say lots of things that aren't correct. I have used GMail app on only gprs data plans before. You need the apn entered for your carrier under Options >Advanced Options >TCP.
