I am on OS 4.2 and i would like to know if there is any advantage to upgrading to 4.5? I would also like to know that if i do upgrade will i have to unlock the vendor themes again for the new OS?

Yes there are many advantages...just search the forum and you'll see the benefits.
And yes, you have to modify the blackberry.alx file to unlock all vendor themes.

Unlock it for what? This thread is about unlocking other themes to use on the device. Are you referring to that or are you referring to unlocking the device so you can use other carrier's sim cards? If it's unlocking for the other sim cards, just use the link in my sig to get your device unlocked. It's cheap for att devices. Also, att may unlock your device for free if you're an att customer in good standing.
