Default DOM navigation in Blackberry Browser 4

Please Login to Remove!

We have a website where the vast majority of our customers use either Pocket Internet Explorer (through HTC/XDA/QTEK) or Opera (Nokia Communicator), but now some of them use Blackberry 7290.

This device is new to me, so I have a question regarding the browser specs.

My site seems to render ok in the Blackberry Browser (4) - there are some minor issues but nothing much. However - some of the pages make use of DOM-navigation in JavaScript, and it doesn't seem to work. It's just a standard

document.myform.mytextbox.value = document.myform.mydropdownlist.value;

But it has no effect in BB-browser. Is it just impossible or is there a setting somewhere (javascript is on) or is it possible to use a third-party browser on a BlackBerry? And if so, which?

Thank you for any help
