I just started to use BB today but I am facing this weird issue. My BB 8700c is switching on and off frequently. All I see is the hour glass on the screen for few seconds when it is on and it automatically switches off. Please let me know if you have any solution for this issue.

There could be a variety of reasons. First, think if you done anything different lately, like add a new application? Stored too many pictures or whatever in the device memory?

Go to Options > Status. What is the file free number there?

What OS are you running (Options > About, 3rd line down starting with 'v.4.xxx')?

I remember I downloaded the bphone theme from the blackberryfreeware.org website. I am afraid now thinking it as a virus or something.

I am not able to do anything. Not even checking the status. All it does is switch on --> display the hour glass for 10-15 secs ---> Switch itself off.

What shall I do now?

I think the OS version is v4.1.
