Default 957 not reconciling emails - 08-27-2004, 01:53 PM

When she deletes a email from her BlackBerry, then synchs it with Notes v4.6.7, it does not get deleted from her desktop's inbox. She is running version 3.6 of the Desktop Manager. I've checked the Redirector settings, but there doesn't seem to be any setting that are applicable. Intellisync is correctly reconciling her Todo, Contacts, and Calendar and her device is sending and receiving emails.

Sorry you haven't gotten a proper response yet. I used to use a 957, and managed this somehow. I know many co-workers had the same problem you are describing. But the fact that I got mine to work, means it can probably be done. But I cannot remember what I did. I'm sure it was a setting in the desktop manager. I'm pretty sure it was in the Redirector. I hope someone more knowledgeable replies...sorry.

I remember it was some setting with the Redirector / Blackberry Desktop. Since I use BES/MDS at this time, this does not apply to me, but keep looking.

I think we're getting warmer at least. Anyone else who can help?

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon

I'm using BES as well. Would any of the setting in the Redirector be applicable?

No they wouldn't. Go into your messages and then click the trackwheel and scroll down to options and choose that. In the message list options what is delete on set to?

Email reconcile has to be set on the BES as well.

It also falls under the lowest priority of "things for the BES to do" From what I've supported over the last while, email wireless reconciliation isn't always 100%.

Now if it's not working at ALL, it would be time to check the settings on the server.

unp, you hit the nail on the head! I changed the option to "Handheld and Desktop" and now when my user deletes an email from her BlackBerry and synchs it with Notes, the email is deleted in Notes as well. Too bad this forum doesn't give out "kudos points".\
