the notepad will not save the edited blackberry alx file in alx format only text. i remember seeing a security menu somewhere in vista that allowed me to edit and save in original format but i cant find anything in the forum and the blackberry we're working on is in the UK with the vista machine.
any takers?

Right click on the file prior to openning it and select the security feature and allow all. I think its something like that I'm not in front of a PC at the moment.
