Hi all,

I currently use a pearl 8110 and have turned on my Media Card encryption.

I use "Security Password" and have enabled encryption.

Now I know if I move the card to another blackberry then the files wont be readable because of the encryption but is there a way to remove the encryption on the original device before transferring over to a different blackberry?

The reason I ask is I want my photo's and documents to be encrypted but dont want to be restricted to not being able to upgrade to a newer phone in the future.

Just a thought as I'm thinking of using it...can't you decrypt the card then encrypt with the new phone?
