Default Address Book View, Swap 8120 to 8100

I dislike how the new 8120 BB pearl's address book view has those huge gaps and are separated by stripes or lines, but still only display around 5 names per screen.
I liked how in the original 8100's they were simpler and displayed around 15 names per page with no gaps in between.
Also, whenever you view your messages in the 8120's, you see more messages but they take out the top part of the screen which means your signal is not visible anymore like in the old 8100's.

Does anyone know how to change those items, or an application to change them?

Thank you,
Kenny.
