Default Is ir possible to combine backed up databases?

Please Login to Remove!

I have about 3 databases backed up that I would like to combine, mostly for my SMS messages and my address book. I deleted a bunch of my contacts thinking I wouldn't need them anymore, however I now do. I old like to combine my old address book to my current one instead of overwriting. Same for my SMS messages. They all got deleted due to a memory error ( ) but I got most of them saved to a backed up database. I have new bunch of messages though, and I'd like to add the old ones to them once again, not overwrite them.

Is this at all possible?

I recall when I have restored an address database (from a backup) to my BlackBerry, that it does not overwrite, but will merge with the new. I think I recall that is what I did, but I won't say my memory is 100% correct...

SO--do this. Another full backup of the current BB. Then restore the address book and SMS database from the old backup to the BB. And see.

If it works and merges, you are good to go. If it overwrites, you will still have the most recent backup to restore and explore other options.

In otherwords, it should not cost you anything (less some time) to experiment and see.
