Default Additional copy of OS showed up in Desktop Manager

Please Login to Remove!

I have Desktop Manager 4.7 and I just installed BB Curve 4.5 which was officially downloaded from AT&T site (8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel152_PL2.7.0.90_A4.5.0.110_AT&T. exe) today.

However after I connect a Curve via USB to perform upgrade, desktop manager gave me TWO OS'es to choose from, they have the same version number, one of them has "(Recommanded)" note and the other one does not.

I checked Add/Remove Program in my XP system and there is only one instance of Blackberry Device Software. I believe the additional one was from a beta firmware that I tried a couple month ago, apparently there are some leftover although I have uninstalled the software.

Could someone please tell me how do I get rid of that? I will have more than 20 devices to update, and I don't want to see two selections there.

If you've deleted and reinstalled desktop manager, I believe that OS may not be visible in your add/remove programs but may still be in the program files folder.

Using Windows Explorer, check C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files

If you have the old OS folder there, just delete it.

There is only one folder under that location, which is the one that I installed today....
