Default Can't Install OS

Please Login to Remove!

I recently tried to update to version 4.5.0.101. kind of the opposite happens from what everyone is saying in the forums. If I leave vendor.xml intact it will prompt me to update. I try to update and It will immediately say "fatal error while trying to update you blackberry, please try again" but if I delete vendor.xml it will not prompt me at all and will not find any updates when searching for them. I have unistalled the update and Desktop Manager, also deleted all references to RIM in the registry and program files. reinstalled the update and desktop manager and still the same problem. Any ideas? I'm stumped

Which version of the Desktop Manager are you using? I suppose trying a different one would be a good start. Or removing the device and reinstalling.
