Default desktop manager does not recognize blacberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hi folks:
The problem I have is that Desktop manager does not recognize my blackberry (7250).
The problem started about 2 months ago. Initially using 4.0 and USB. Under device manager I can see the blackberry appropriately but DM tells me the BB is disconnected. I have now installed 4.1 paired the BB as a bluetooth device, perfectly... but DM still does not connect the BB.
What I have done is:
clean install
BB reset
firewall is off
I am running XP2 etc Outlook 2003
The usb was a direct connection (and device manager reports the BB is present)
Ideas.... pleeeeese
Tx

Default

device manager
discover which USB root hub the BlackBerry is connected to
Delete the Rim handheld and then disconnect your BlackBerry
Delete the USB root hub that we found before
reboot the computer
try again...

if that doesnt work
have the handheld disconnected
open the Application Loader
Click next you should now be at the connection settings window
connect the handheld you should see USB - PIN
may have to try this a few times doing the battery reset

if that fails do a clean uninstall and install DTM 3.6 sp 3a from blackberry.com
