Default Sync Multiple Outlook Data Files

Please Login to Remove!

Blackberry 8800 connected to BES 2003 Server.

I have 2 Outlook data files. One is my normal everyday Outlook PST, which is stored on my local hard drive, and the other is a Data File added into my inbox, which is saved on a public file share.

When running Desktop Manager and running synchronization, I select the data file accounts I wish to sync. My normal mailbox profile syncs with no issue. When I select the other Data File it too runs a successful sync with no errors. When looking on Blackberry handheld, the folder appears but the folder content is empty.

I have also moved this PST info to my local hard drive, but folders are still empty.

I know you can sync multiple Outlook data files just not at the same time; which I am doing one by one, but I must be missing something. What?

You will have to re-do the synch configuration in the desktop manager if you want to sync multiple PST files..

Not really recommended.. As it will get very messy real fast.

We're trying to run this basically as a test and we've been successful before, however it's not now. We understand it can become messy, unfortunately it's not our call. Since it's worked before, the CEO wants it to work again.

Any help is appreciated.

Just a note PST files that are not saved locally have an exetreme tendancy to corrupt themselves very often. Since Outlook does not handle latency quite well.

You sync the first Profile perfectly normal all your PIM info is there, but the second profile you try and sync doesn't go.. Are you syncing PIM info or Emails?

Syncing emails.. Then I assume your using the Desktop Redirector, unfortunitly I haven't actually used that before.

Someone else may have to shed some light on this..

Not able to merge the 2 PST files to one?

Yikes. If the OP wants to keep his job then I'd recommend getting the CEO off Redirector ASAP. Otherwise, good luck. Most of us avoid Redirector like the plague.
