We have a Windows 2003 Environment running Exchange 2003. We are trying to deploy a BES 4.0 server. I am reading through the BES Installation guide and its a bit confusing. Under one of the requirements form runnign in a MS Windows 2003 Environment they state the following:
"Microsoft Exchange 2003 messaging and collaboration server environment(on a computer without Microsoft Exchange installed)"
Now thats bit confusing to me because when I run 'setup' from the Exchange CD the tree that is given requires that you select Exchange in order to install the Message and Collabortation services. So, how do you go about installing those without installing Exchange?Blackberry BES 4.0 Exchange 2003 - Installing Messaging and Collaboration without installing Exchange - Is it possible?
Do I just do a minimal install of Exchange 2003 on the BES 4 server so I can install the Exchange Messaging and Collaboration services? This also requires IIS, SMTP and NNTP to be installed is that correct?
