Default I knew it was too good to be true - 11-06-2005, 03:30 PM

I just bought a 5790 on eBay but can't get it to work. Touch any key and it gives the dreaded "security violation" message. What I'm wondering is, is there any point going through the steps recommended for clearing this using the desktop manager (which I'm having trouble with) or will that only work for users who have somehow been approved by RIM? If so can an eBay buyer get such approval?
