Default Error installing desktop 4.0 - 12-27-2004, 10:04 PM

I keep getting an error (1720, can't run a script) when i try to install the new destop software. I tried to completely remove the old rev, including the registry keys. I searched the RIM site and the only mention of that error is regarding the BES install. Has anyone seen this? It installed fine on my XP Pro laptop with SP2. It just won't install in my XP Home SP2 desktop.

Thanks,

Andy

Bad form replying to my own post but since I fixed the problem, I thought others may see it too.....

I needed to install 'windows scripting s/w' from microsoft. Strange. I didn't save the link.
